John was raised in rural Nebraska as a pastor’s son for a local church. His father would listen to the Ramsey Show while driving in the car and John learned at a young age the importance of taking care of your finances. From listening to the show, he began listening to the people he interacted with each day, learning how they behaved and why they behaved that way.

John moved to Memphis to pursue a career in music (great financial decision right?) and received his Bachelors in Modern Music playing the trombone. While in college he met people who changed his perspective on life and set him on a new course, to serve people behind the scenes, letting them see the stage while he worked in the background.

Since then John has rediscovered the Ramsey Show as an adult and dove head first into Dave Ramsey’s 7 Baby Steps, making himself debt free by the age of 26. Without the stress of making debt payments, John searched for ways to improve his quality of life; and found a calling in joining the Ramsey Financial Coach Master Training!

He has now learned the ways to guide others to be debt free, and is excited to explore this new area of life. He is here to help, and he is ready to teach you how to fight your own debt!
